BitPay To Soon Add Support For Ethereum
BitPay, the largest global blockchain payments provider announced today soon to be launched support for Ethereum.
Once launched, BitPay wallet users will be able to store and use ETH as payment. For BitPay Visa cardholders, users can top-up their debit cards with Ethereum and use for shopping with the card.Â
Businesses and existing BitPay merchants including Microsoft, Newegg, Dish Networks, FanDuel and Avnet, will be able to accept ETH for purchases without the need for any integration.
“As one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market cap and one used by thousands of companies, Ethereum is the next logical choice”, said Stephen Pair, CEO of BitPay.
BitPay currently offers Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash as a payment mechanism and offers stable coin settlement option for merchants. Stable coins currently supported for settlement by BitPay are Circle USDC, Gemini Dollar (GUSD), and Paxos Standard token (PAX).

Using BitPay, merchants around the world can easily integrate cryptocurrency as payment option and allows users to securely use their cryptocurrencies for shopping purposes. Since 2011, BitPay has processed more than $2.8 Billion crypto payments.
