KFC to start accepting Dash payments in Venezuela

The dash movement is spreading and growing fast in Venezuela. First, it was food trucks and small family businesses that started to adopt dash for payments, now Dash is attracting more established businesses.

KFC in Venezuela starting next week will begin accepting Dash payments. The restaurant that will be rolling out this operation is located in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. The plan is to expand this payment option to 24 other locations in the South American country.

Venezuelan suffers from hyperinflation and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicting it’s likely to hit 1,000,000% this year (Source BBC), using Dash will provide a strong currency alternative which they can use as a means of payment and as a store of value.

Figures from dash merchant listing site DiscoverDash shows that in less than a year there are 2,427 merchants listed as accepting Dash as the payment method and continues to grow.

For the last three months, EcheverrĂa the co-founder of Dash Help, Dash Merchant Venezuela and Dash Text and his team have been managing the partnership with KFC, further increasing the adoption of Dash in Venezuela.

EcheverrĂa the co-founder of Dash Help, Dash Merchant Venezuela and Dash Text said:

“Having a globally recognized brand such as KFC accepting Dash payments in Venezuela is a great achievement for cryptocurrency and further validation of the continuing trend of dash adoption not only from a user perspective but now merchants as well.”

EcheverrĂa continued mentioning:
