Blockchain is the top skill in-demand in 2020, Report Linkedin

Blockchain has become the number one in-demand skill. In the latest report by Linkedin, blockchain which companies weren’t even looking at a year ago, now in 2020 tops the list of most in-demand hard skills.

“The promise of blockchain — essentially a shared digital ledger — is huge. Advocates see it as a secure, decentralized, and cost- and time-efficient way to transparently track shipments and transactions of all kinds,” the report stated.

Candidates with blockchain skills are most sought out, surpassing other emerging technologies like cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Countries, where the demand is highest, are the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia.

Blockchain has emerged from the once shadowy world of cryptocurrency to become a business solution in search of problems. Companies like IBM, Oracle, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, Amazon, and American Express are all seeking candidates with blockchain experience.
